Though it is about half the size
of the Cree XR-E Q5,
the GDP has roughly the same output. We are using the KY bin which
according to the specs puts it in the Cree Q5’s range. However, ts
forward
voltage is comparatively lower (nominal 3.3V versus the Cree’s 3.8V)
which
means it will be more efficient and run cooler.
Another feature of the GDP is its very soft, beautiful beam pattern. The
“hotspot” is less defined, creating a smooth beam gradient from center
to edge.
The GDP’s Color Rendering Index (CRI) is also notably higher than the Q5
as
well: 80 versus 75, respectively. A higher CRI means a more accurate
representation of colors
