*Out-the-front is the actual lumens measured out the front of the light. Not "bulb lumens," "LED manufacturer ratings," or "theoretical/wishful thinking" lumens that so many manufactures state. How does our out-the-front lumens compare? Typically, manufacturers will over-state lumens 30-40%!!! This means our lights will out perform many lights that claim 40-60% more.  Our Preon II with 160 lumens out-the front rating will outshine 224-256 lumen lights.

Preon Emitter
All Preons use the Cree XP-G R5's because they are the most efficient LED to-date. Efficiency means you get more light for the finite amount of electricity supplied by the batteries. This means brighter lights, longer running times, and less energy wasted in the form of heat. The Cree XP-G has reached unprecedented efficiency levels in the same class-power LED. In fixed lighting this is not as critical as battery-powered light sources.
